Terms of use
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This is a translation; the German text is binding.
1. Provider and scope
These terms apply to the use of Jalkab (iPhone app, Apple Watch app and the web panel at app.jalkab.com). The provider is Damla Kocak, Wallstr. 25a, 53489 Sinzig (see Impressum).
2. The service
With Jalkab, parents plan daily tasks, routines, weekly schedules, rewards and goals for their children; the child completes tasks on an Apple Watch and collects points. Jalkab is in a test and beta phase and is currently free of charge. We may change, extend or discontinue features. There is no entitlement to a particular availability. [BITTE PRÜFEN: Rules for later paid offers.]
3. Who may use Jalkab
- Only adult parents or legal guardians may create an account.
- You only create child profiles for children you have parental responsibility for, and you give the required consent.
- You only invite a second parent who also has parental responsibility.
4. Your responsibility
- You decide which tasks, rewards and goals your child sees, and you accompany your child.
- AI suggestions are suggestions: review them before you publish them. They don’t replace your judgement on safety and suitability.
- Don’t enter names, schools or other identifying details in free-text fields (interests, notes for AI requests, weekly schedule).
- Keep your sign-in details secret and unpair watches your child no longer uses.
5. Prohibited use
In particular, you may not use Jalkab for other people’s children without parental responsibility, circumvent security or access restrictions, query the service automatically, post unlawful or offensive content, or use it in any way that disrupts its operation.
6. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise liability is excluded. [BITTE PRÜFEN: Liability rules for a free service.]
7. Term and termination
You can stop using Jalkab at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may block use in case of breaches of these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice; we will inform you beforehand.
8. Privacy
How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Changes and governing law
We may change these terms with effect for the future and will tell you about material changes in the app. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
